Our Club

The Ballarat Philatelic Society was established in 1904 and has catered for the philatelic interests of many in Ballarat and District for almost 120 years.

We promote all aspects of philately providing opportunities for members to collect and be educated about stamps, postal stationery,

postal history and related collections such as postmarks and “cinderellas”.

Our Meetings are conducted

from 6.30pm on the 3rd Monday each Month

Ballarat Stamp Club 2026 AGM

Members gathered for the Annual AGM on Monday July 20th.  Prersident Pat Tacey presented his annual report on the club's activities and Treasurer Neil Petrass reported on the club's finances.

We were lucky to have two excellent guest speakers.

Andrew Ballis (left) who gave an engrossing presentation on KIng George V penny red stamps along with a engaging display of part of his collection.

Ross Newton (right) spoke to us about the role of the Victorian Philatelic Council and the upcoming Congress to be held at the Brighton Town Hall in November.  Ross then spoke to and displayed part of his vast collection of philatelic and general memorabilia centred on the 1956 Olympic Games held in Melbourne
